No matter how many "I'm so hung up on my totally unavailable straight buddy" stories you may have read in the past, you've never met two characters who found a solution to their predicament quite the way Mike and Grayce have.   Similar to the previous two installments of my "autobiofiction" trilogy (The Altar Boy and  The Dream of Lightness)   Playing the Game is based on real people, places and events and remains to this day one of my most personal works.  I hope you enjoy it every bit as much as I still do every time I re-read it.
